The CKP/IM mat is designed for use alongside the PRSU/M2SI control unit as part of a presence-sensing interlock system. This ensures that machinery can only operate when an operator is standing on the mat, adding an extra layer of operational control and safety.
Unlike standard safety mats, the CKP/IM operates in reverse logic so the system allows the machine to run when pressure is applied to the mat, rather than stopping it. For this reason, it is intended as a secondary sensing device and should not be used as the primary safety system.
A complete system includes the CKP/IM mat sensor and PRSU/M2SI control unit, delivering monitoring performance in line with EN13849, Performance Level C.
