Introducing Managing Director Chris Higgins

At Tapeswitch we are in the privileged position of being able to benefit from the leadership of an MD with over 40 years of engineering experience. Since his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering at Liverpool John Moore’s University Chris Higgins has gone on to play a vital role in the development of a number of technical applications with LC Automation, Pactrol Controls Ltd and most recently Tapeswitch. His technical expertise and leadership has enabled our organisation to continue innovating as we move further in to the new technological era.

Chris has been with Tapeswitch in its current form since 1999, first as an Engineering Manager, then Technical Director and most recently Managing Director. Chris has been pivotal in ensuring the company continues to meet the needs of clients in health and safety, leisure and industrial markets. Whilst ensuring the company continues to innovate Chris has worked closely with many of our clients, making sure we are able to satisfy the ongoing demands of the marketplace.

What Chris Had to say…
Chris had this to say about his role, “From a very young age I’ve always had an insatiable desire to understand how things work. Engineering was a very natural career path for me and in recent years the changing technological landscape has been astounding. With so much opportunity on the horizon it gives me a real buzz to be able to continually identify ways in which Tapeswitch can innovate for our clients.”

What the Marketing Manager had to say…
Our Marketing Manager Karen said of Chris, “Chris has always been known to the team at Tapeswitch as someone with exceptional engineering skills. When he was promoted to the Managing Director role in 2012 the transition felt very natural, and his leadership since has allowed the company to go from strength to strength. For an organisation like ours it’s important that the leader identifies with the client base so easily.”
